Central Silk Board flyover area is located at the junction of Outer  Ring Road and Hosur main rd.

  Issues
  - High traffic volumes
  - Long signal cycles, leading to long vehicle queues
  - High pedestrian volumes, with inadequate facilities
  - Insufficient bus stop facilities

  
  

   Goals
   - Decongest the junction
   - Designing a bus interchange point for Big10 services
   - Improve pedestrian crossing facilities

   Proposals: Two options

   Option 1   

   Interventions:
  - Dedicated bus lanes at the junction
  - Flyover to be restricted to private vehicle usage
  - Public buses to use the lower level to make it convenient for commuters to interchange buses

  Advantage:
  - Minimal infrastructure changes are required.
  - High traffic volume issues remain

  Challenges:
  - High traffic volume issues remain

   Option 2:

     Option-2 Interventions:
     - Underpass for vehicles from BTM to HSR
     - Other interventions are the same as Option 1

     Three-phase signal:

     Ph 1 - Right turn from BTM & HSR
     Ph 2 - Right turn from Hosur & Koramangala
     Ph 3 - Big-10 & Pedestrians

     Advantage:
     - Addresses high traffic volume challenges in addition to providing for pedestrian facilities

     Challenges: 
     - High water table challenges for underpass constructions
